It has been years since I last visited this place.. Interesting collections.. Seeing the replicas of the famous mosques around the world makes me wanna go there.. Nura and Nayla were excited to see the malay collections section as most exhibits can be found in my father's house.. Yeah his years in the Ministry of Arts and Tourism last time has given him the opportunity to collect as many antique pieces as possible.. :) and I notice the pride in his facial expression as my daughters came back and told him about their encounter at the museum..
The Best Day, eva!!
Nura and Nayla have been persuading their daddy to bring them to work.. So I suggested that the 3 of us go to daddy's office and have lunch with him at the Maybank Hawkers Centre.. They managed to persuade their daddy to bring them to his office just for a little while.. Later, I brought them to run some errands before going to the spa.. They were very happy and declared the day as The Best Day, eva!
Penang Trip
My FIL was lucky enough to be able to book the Maybank apartment in Bt Feringhi during the end of the school break.. So off we went to Penang on the 16th... My legs got numb during the long journey.. And we stop by at Titi Timbul to have lunch.. Hubby mengidam mee udang.. I had nasi goreng ketam..
Check-in at the Sea Range Tower.. Stayed at Maybank's apartment there.. Hubby took the kids for a swim while I freshen up.. Later we went for nasi dalcha hunt.. Mak buyong teringin nasi dalcha.. :) My very good friend (former uni-mate, Rahim) who has been staying in Penang for years has recommended Pak Din Nasi Dalcha in Jelutong.. Verdict - WOW!!... We really stuffed ourselves that night..
2nd day in Penang.. Accompanied the kids and hubby for morning dip at the pool.. I outsized my swimming attire already LOL!.. Then breakfast.. Brought the kids to the apartment's playground for a while before having lunch at Kedai Makan Lidiana, Medan Selera Tg Bungah... Basically my major food cravings dah settle.. :) stop by at the Shamrock Beach to let the kids build sand castles.. Bought some ice cream and back to the apartment for a rest... 5 p.m... The kids start bugging for another round of swim!! Kesian daddy x sempat nak take a nap.. Dinner.. Nasi kandar hunt.. We went to Tajudin Hussain's @ Queen St... For a more authentic penang nasi kandar... Forget about Nasi kandar Line Clear or Nasi Kandar Beratur... Rahim kata (Rahim lagik.. :D) "Kalau otai2 depa nanti cerita nasi kandaq kg melayu ayaq itam, tajudin hussin, rafee, deen. Ni yg femes turun temurun lah".. Later we had our coffee at Kaffa Cafe nearby.. Lama tak pekena vienna cafe.. Reminiscing that sweet memory at a chic cafe along Swanston St, Melbourne with hubby in 2002 all of a sudden...
Day 3.. Breakfast at the apartment.. And we took the ferry back to the mainland.. Nura has totally forgotten that she has been on one earlier.. This is definitely Nayla's 1st time.. To our surprise, the traffic on the PLUS Highway was very clear so we reached home around 3.30 p.m... اَلْحَمْدُلِلّهِ..
Now.. Have to tune back to working/schooling mode... :)
