Hidayah Got Hitched - Part 3 (The Reception @ Home)

After the solemnization, with the big help from Duffy and his team (namely, the photographers on duty), we co-ordinate the photoshoot session... everybody got like 10 minutes to take photos with the newlyweds... got advice from mom's friend that the host should organize to invite the groom's side to take photos with the bride and groom first.. then, hubby and MIL ushered the groom's side to next door to rest and have some light refreshments while waiting for the groom to change for the reception..

Daia pick yellow and green as the wedding theme... it was off-white & pink for the solemnization... by noon, guests were non-stop... lucky we took lots of canopies... mom and dad has lotsa relatives... and they came all the way from Kedah, Perlis.. Singapore and even Sabah as well... my dad already requested for the caterer to top up the food... just in-case..

By the time Hidayah and Qhairul got dressed-up, the time was already 1 p.m... just in time... but then, the Kompang team hasn't arrived yet... the Head of the kompang team is non-other than Pakcik Karim.... my dad's relative as well... i like his energetic Kompang team... they played the kompang during my wedding as well... should have got this for my MIL during my BIL's wedding but since her nephew already recommended his team, I didn't want to interfere... heard my uncle calling Pakcik Karim asking when are they going to arrive... alhamdulillah he arrived shortly after that.. It was zohor time already so the DJ decided to give way for the azan first... then, hubby realized that daia forgot to get the umbrellas for the bride and groom... Dangggg... lucky it was not that hot... then.. nobody to recite the prayer... OMG... how could we forget all these details.. and suddenly hubby pulled mom's brother from Sg. Petani... almost forgotten that he always lead our prayers before this... thank God again...

after the azan.. the DJ announced the arrival of the groom and the kompang ppl took over from there.. the groom was so eager to see his bride that he left his best man and his family as well so far behind... we even have to ask him to slow down... blame the long legs! LOL!!

my lil' munchkins cannot stand the loud kompang...

lin's father (from Singapore) who was kind enough to perform his Silat in front of the bride and groom... he too performed during my wedding 10 years back....

the high table.. 2nd from right: former IGP, Tan Sri Rahim (my dad's 2nd cousin) and wife came too..

orang2 kuat also want to pose, okay...

hubby got a 'rival' now... not the only 'menantu Abah' anymore... better be good.. :p
